The Story of Coastal Carolina Mahjong

Founded in 2026, I created Coastal Carolina Mahjong to introduce new players to the strategy, challenge, and lasting friendships that make Mah Jongg so special to me. I want to foster a welcoming environment where students of all skill levels can build confidence while having fun. In just a short period, Coastal Carolina Mahjong has grown from me and a couple of friends to a vibrant community dedicated to the love of Mahjong.

Starting with a couple of friends around the kitchen table and moving up to a handful of local players, Coastal Carolina Mahjong has evolved into a recognized hub for American Mahjong enthusiasts. My dedication to teaching and community-building has transformed many newcomers into skilled players, fostering new friendships and a shared love for the game.
